General Description

TVG-Medulla, LLC, a private equity-owned organization with 150+ clinics nationwide, provides support and services to two comprehensive chiropractic care companies, Chiro One Wellness Centers and MyoCore Personalized Pain Care, both industry leaders in evidence-based, patient outcomes-centered care.

The Accounting Manager, reporting to the VP of Finance, will be responsible for leading the accounting team on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate for this role will be inquisitive, collaborative, have a process improvement mindset, and can-do attitude. Success in this role is being a team-player who doesn’t just identify problems but who can also recommend solutions to address the problems. This is a hybrid work from home, in-office role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process, adhering to the close schedule and ensuring accuracy.
• Collaborate with Human Resources team in preparing monthly payroll entries.
• Understand month-over-month expense trends, and when and where accruals are needed.
• Timely preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, with an understanding of and ability to explain any outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with various departments on lease accounting and/or fixed assets.
• Maintain Sage Intacct system, including departmental hierarchies, GL account structure, and any system modifications as needed.
• Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to effectively lead, coach, and develop team members while encouraging creativity and innovation.
• Assist with year-end audit/auditor requests.
• Ad-hoc reporting as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Five or more years of relevant experience with demonstrated career progression.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Sage Intacct.
• Experience with ASC 842 – Lease Accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• Advanced degree
• Knowledge of LeaseQuery/FinQuery
• Experience leading a team
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions
